FDR Memorial Pictures

Franklin Delano Roosevelt (January 30, 1882April 12, 1945)

He was the thirty-second President of the U.S. and served from 1933 to 1945. He was the only U.S. president to serve more than two terms of office. He was a central figure of the 20th century during a worldwide economic crisis and world war one.

The FDR Memorial is located alongside the Tidal Basin and the Cherry Blossom Tree Walk. It consists of 4 rooms sequentially depicting his twelve years in office.

The memorial offers great views from many angles and FDR's quotes are large and easy to read so it never seemed crowded. The outdoor waterfalls are relaxing and blend well with the tidal basin and green surroundings. I definitely enjoyed visiting the FDR Memorial and look forward to going back.
